The Drawing Club, no:06: VENICE: La Biennale. 05th of june 2011.
We spent this weekend in Venice to see the Biennale, to meet friends and to draw. We were looking for drawings and found a very nice concertina folded book with illustrations by Mariana Castillo Deball from Mexico. Thanks to Zefrey, Diego, Livia, Mattias, Juliane and Serena.

The Drawing Club, no:05: STOKKE: Vennerød. 28th of may 2011.
Thanks to Kristian and Gina Flåtnes for hosting 10 kids on a saturday to do a special edition Drawing Club for children. We got the idea to make a drawing club during a trip to their cabin during the winter. Their kids Henrik and Maren thought it would be a brilliant idea to have a drawing club because they thought it was to little drawing in school. We suggested that they invite some friends and that we could spend some hours drawing! Kristians mum made carrot cake, Gina made sausages, Roman and Gilles were drawing together with the kids and I was giving them different tasks to draw.

The Drawing Club, no:04: OSLO: Westye Egeberg Public Garden. 26th of may 2011.
We are not afraid of the rain. This is the second drawing club outdoors in the rain. It just adds a little extra to the drawings. In Norway it is practically summer in the end of may and we were sitting on a park bench underneath a tree for shelter. We were drawing, grilling sausages, talking about life in general and getting to know each other. Thanks for coming Ingrid Rognstad, Ingrid Berge, Arild Kristiansen, Aurora Langbakk and Maren Gyldenhammar.

The Drawing Club, no:03: LISBOA: Miradouro da Graca. 29th of april 2011.
We took the cable car 28 to Miradouro da Graca in the rain. Well dressed with rain coat and warm clothes we wiped the water of a bench, sat down and started to draw. The drawing ink mixed with rain drops make wonderful effects and then it stopped so we actually spent a few hours on this wonderful view post. Thanks Ines Duarte for joing us in Lisboa.

We are happy to announce that the Drawing Club number 03 will take place in Lisboa, Portugal, friday the 29th of april. We will meet at Miradouro da Graca for drawing people, feelings, the view or any other things from our imagination.

The photo is from the cafe A Brasileira which is situated in the Chiado district of Lisboa and were the place for encounters and literary gatherings, in particular the famous portuguese poet Pessoa. We will definitely try a coffee here at 8 in the morning to get the spirit of the old days.
The Drawing Club, no:02: OSLO: Botanical Garden, Tøyen. 17th of april 2011.
We met in the Botanical Garden cafe and started to draw people, trees and stones. Thanks to all participants: Fadlabi, Karin Erixon, Ingrid Rognstad, Arild Kristiansen, Jon Benjamin Lund Tallerås, Mari Kajo, Ingvild Østgård, Gilles & Cecilie Studio, Ann Langbakk, Aurora og Naomi. The second part of the drawing took place in one of the Botanical Garden tropical houses.
